USA Delegation | AWC Facility Tour

A delegation from Lone Star College–Tomball, Texas, visited the American Wellness Center (AWC) in Dubai Healthcare City as part of their International Studies Program, gaining first-hand exposure to Dubai’s integrative healthcare model. Led by Professor Dr. Muhammad S. Tahir, the group explored AWC’s psychiatry, psychology, and wellness divisions and observed live demonstrations of neurotherapeutic technologies such as Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and EEG-based neuro-assessment. The visit offered students an opportunity to understand how cutting-edge technology and compassionate clinical practice come together to support holistic patient care.

Dr. Tahir—an American Board-Certified Psychiatrist and Neurologist trained at Columbia University and Weill Cornell University Hospital—shared his insights on integrating mental and physical health for overall well-being. Drawing from his global academic and clinical experience, he emphasized the value of empathy, trust, and human connection in psychiatric care, while highlighting the role of international collaboration in advancing mental-health awareness. The visit reflected AWC’s ongoing commitment to fostering cross-cultural medical education and its growing reputation as a center of excellence in holistic wellness and integrative medicine.
