Dr.Muhammad Momen completed his Medical School training at the University of Dhaka in Bangladesh.
He started his career in Medicine in the United Kingdom in 1987. He then moved to New Zealand, where inaddition to his training in medicine, he completed a Diploma in Mental Health at the University of Auckland.

Dr. Momen then relocated to the United States to specialize in psychiatry and join the Residency Program atthe Medical College of Georgia in Psychiatry. During the residency training to his superior clinical performanceand innovative ideas, he became the Chief Resident and received E. J. McCraine Award for Clinical Excellencefor Outstanding clinical performance. He was also honored with the "Resident of the Year" award. He alsobecame a Diplomate in the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in 2008 and 2018.

He accepted a Job as Attending Psychiatrist at one of the biggest Regional State Psychiatric Hospitals inCleveland, Ohio. In addition to leading an acute inpatient unit, he was involved in teaching residents as a Clinical Faculty for Case Western Reserve University, University of Toledo, and North East Ohio MedicalUniversity. He practiced and led a very specialized inpatient team where he treated very hardcore mentally ill,treatment-resistant patients and quickly became an expert in Psychopharmacology, and other acuteinterventions, e.g ECT, TMS ( Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) and used Antipsychotic medication Clozarilfor chronic Treatment-Resistant Schizophrenic patients very successfully and brought into the practice thewidespread use of LAI (Long-Acting Injection) for those patients who are non-compliant & required multipleinpatient psychiatric admissions. His achievement brought him to a higher level and became the Lead ChiefClinical Officer.

In 2014, Dr. Momen was honored with prestigious Membership at the American College of Psychiatry withadditional committee membership in the Deans Award Committee for his commitment to providing the highestlevel of quality and safety care to the patients and families he and his team served and overall outstandingservices to the people with significant Mental Illness and his contributions to the behavioral health care bytreating the patients, their families successfully with utmost dignity, respect by adopting Bio-Psycho-SocialModel of Treatment.


Dr. Momen is currently the Chairman of the Department of Psychiatry and leads the clinical operations ofTrumbull Regional Medical Center and Mercy St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Ohio with his skilled clinical team.He runs a very successful inpatient psychiatric team in managing acute psychiatric care and also oversees thelarge outpatient Mental Health Clinic. He is involved in Teaching Medical Students and is the Clerkship SiteDirector for Northeast Ohio Medical University in Ohio where is currently Assistant Clinical Professor.

He is also a pioneer in developing a New Psychiatry Residency Training Program at Trumbull Regional MedicalCenter through Western Reserve Education Authority under Northeast Ohio Medical University. This newPsychiatry program will kick off this year with the first batch starting in July 2023. Dr. Momen has been namedas the Residency Training Program Director for the new Program.

In Jan 2022 he was honored with the Best Teacher Award in Excellence in Teaching by Northeast Ohio MedicalUniversity in Ohio for his continued and ongoing teaching skills in Psychiatry and Behavioral Health.
Dr. Momen is Fully Licensed in Dubai Health Authority as a Consultant Psychiatrist and has also licensed withGood Standing at Ohio State Medical Board, USA since 2003.

He joined at American Wellness Center in Dubai and will bring the State of Art treatment modalities for mentalHealth disorders from USA practice. He will be available for specialized consultation advance appointmentthrough BWC office.
